Amal Almoayyed is a person with a passion to succeed in all walks of life. She is an astute businesswoman and an altruistic philanthropist. She combines her enthusiasm for business with a sense of being by committing herself to the art of living, which has made her a true practitioner of meditation to lend stability to a frenetic world. On a more personal front, she is married to Mazen Alumran and is the mother of three beautiful children, Mariam, Ahmed & Mai.

From a passion blossomed a business - Amal's love for fashion and style is the reason that the Vogue Group came to life in 1978, and as the owner she has ensured that Vogue Boutiques have grown by leaps and bounds within the Kingdom. Today, she is also the Executive Director of Ashrafs W.L.L. and is Director of Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons, one of Bahrain's oldest companies.

Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Designing with Financial & Management Accounting from the UK, Amal has also played a key role in the rapid development of Ashrafs, to become one of the leading retail stores and wholesale distributors in the Kingdom.

It all began with a young woman and a dream. Inspired by a mother who showered her with kindness, and a family that trusted her abilities, the transformation from college student to a judicious businesswoman was perhaps coursing through Amal's veins. With a degree from a prestigious college and the backing of a father, himself an entrepreneur who built an institution from scratch; the road to success was one Amal forged through hard work and dogged determination.

Amal truly believes in helping those who are less fortunate, by personally ensuring their well-being. It's an inherent part of her nature to create better opportunities to help people enjoy a better way of life. In fact, Amal has been responsible to help train special needs students so that they can integrate with society. She has instigated training the blind so that they can work in call centers, thereby making a difference in their lives.

She also supports the Meditation Centre in Bahrain, so that other people can benefit from the positive energy of meditation and the overall harmony that is gained from this practice. She also strongly champions peace missions to help facilitate the rehabilitation of displaced people.

Amal is also strongly involved in many philanthropic activities with a single-minded objective to help needy families and associations in Bahrain. She has taken personal initiatives to establish many charities related organizations in Bahrain with utmost social commitments. She is also a keen supporter of Animal Welfare and actively supports many Animal Rescues Shelters on the Island. She is also a strong promoter of Women in Business and encourages many young Bahraini Women to take up Business as a profession.
